Károly ÁGG, artist of photography
He was born in Budapest, in 1955. He is devoted to photography since 1980. He is a self-taught professional. Since 1981 up to our days he has organised 40 individual exhibitions. Two of them were held in Austria, three in Transylvania. He has also participated in 170 collective exhibitions. He has received 70 awards and prizes at home and abroad (Italy, Belgium, USA, Japan, Singapour, Germany, Australia, Great Britain, Romania, China and Croatia). His art photographs are published regularly in books and catalogues. Until now three of his individual calendars were coming out, entitled: “Visions of Szigetköz” (1992), “Slovakian wooden churches” (1992), “Budapest” (1994). Since 1989 he is a member of the Fine Art Foundation, than its legal successor National Association of Hungarian Artists. He is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Journalists since 1992. In 2001 he has received the AFIAP title by the Féderation Internatinale de l’Art Photographique (Belgium).
