Arnold GROSS, graphic artist(twofold Munkácsy Prize holder, Kossuth Prize holder)

His masters were: Gyula HINCZ, György KÁDÁR, György KONECSKI and Károly KAFFÁN. Beside them his friends Béla KONDOR and Vladimir SZABÓ had a great influence on him. He received twice the Krakow Biennial Prize (1955, 1967). He became Artist of Merit in 1987. His unique technical knowledge, fine sketching, collected compositions, symbols of his work and the cleanness of their forms and content are incomparable. “This magician-graphic artist is really teaching you something; yes, the dreams have sense where a dog-cat mix can sit quite peacefully on the top of the pendulum clock.
