Margit Artner, graphic artist
She was born in Budapest, 16th January 1954.
1968-72: School of Arts and Craft, Goldsmith’s Faculty. Since 1972 she is making illustrations for books (Corvina, Móra Publishers), newspapers, journals and magazines. Since 1974 her main field of interest is copper engraving. Topics of her work are drifting between dream and wakefulness. In her pictures she is delineating with precise details things what are important for her; grass, tree, pebbles, Unicorn, the geometric decoration of archways. Her exhibitions were held at innumerable well-known exhibition halls in Hungary and abroad in Germany, Japan, Sweden, Italy and Cyprus.
