György Olajos, graphic artist

He was born in Budapest, 21st April 1953. He received his diploma in 1985 at Hungarian Art University. 1985-1988: “Derkovits fellowship.
In his work the ancient motives, application of natural materials as well as Eastern philosophy and use of ancient techniques and weaving are dominating from the second half of the 1980’s.
Exhibitions: Well-known Budapest and other national exhibition halls as well as abroad (Helsinki, Altenahr).
He has received prizes and fellowships on more than 20 occasions at exhibitions and competitions in Hungary as well as abroad. (1998-99: MAOE fellowship, 1999: NKA fellowship.)
